Hi, my name is Marylu Kohler. I grew up on Long Island and currently, still reside on Long Island. After my annual myography, I received a phone call
that I needed to follow up.
It was recommended that I have a breast MRI, and when they did the breast MRI, they found some spots on my left breast, and I had to go for a biopsy.
Those biopsy results came back that I had DCIS, which is Ductal Carcinoma in Situ, which is cancer of the breast, and that I was going to have to have surgery to remove it.
So when I came to Dr. Chen's office, when she walked into the exam room,
the first words out of her mouth were, I am sorry that you have to go through
this, but you're going to be fine. Obviously, this immediately put me at ease and I knew that I was in the right place.
