Health Tips

Flu Season is Here  -  March 2010

Preventing the Spread of the H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Viruses

1. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.

2. Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth because germs can spread this way.

4. Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

Flu-like symptoms can include but are not limited to: fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, or fatigue.

Some people may also have vomiting and diarrhea.
