Michael Nussbaum, M.D., F.A.A.P. joined the practice in 1991 after years as an adolescent medicine specialist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He attended the State University of New York at Buffalo and then received his medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. After finishing his residency in Pediatrics at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, he went on to do a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Nussmbaum proceeded to practice Adolescent Medicine as a member of the hospital staff, specializing in eating disorders. He is Board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Although Dr. Nussbaum made the move to private practice, he continues to treat teenagers with medical and emotional stress, including, but not limited to eating disorders.
