Sharon B. Markovics, M.D.
is Board certified in Allergy and Immunology and treats both Adult and Pediatric patients in her office, Manhasset Allergy and Asthma. She received her MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1975 and completed residency in Pediatrics at New York University Medical Center-Bellevue Hospital. Subsequently, she did her Fellowship in
Allergy/Immunology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital-McGill University. She is on staff at both North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Markovics is Past President of the Long Island Allergy and Asthma Society, Past President of the American Lung Association Nassau/Suffolk, Past Chair of the Asthma Coalition of Long Island. She was recipient of the Edward L. Trudeau Award from the ALA in 2001. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She is a member of the Needs Assessment Committee for the AAAAI. Currently, she is serving on the Federation of the Regional, State and Local Allergy Societies of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as Governor of Region I (Northeast), and was elected Vice Chair, in March 2011.
Dr. Markovics has practiced with Dr. Robert Corriel for over 25 years, and is pleased to continue Manhasset Allergy and Asthma as a Division of ProHEALTH Care Associates.
