February is National Heart Month! Here are some things you can do to keep your heart healthy.

· Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

· Plan outdoor activities with your family (biking, hiking, swimming, etc).

· Take your dog for longer walks. Take them to a park where you can climb up the hills or jog along a path.

· On your lunch break at work throw on your sneakers and take a brisk walk outside around the building.

· Don’t park in the closest spot at the mall. Park further away and burn some extra calories!

· Sign up for membership at your local gym or get your groove on and take a Zumba fitness class! Not only will you be exercising, you’ll be having fun too!

· Get to cleaning! The number of calories you burn while doing household chores really adds up!

· Is there snow on the ground? Head for the hills and have fun sledding! Climbing up those hills is sure to give your heart a good workout.
